Dee Carter, CLU, ChFC, RFC, CSA

Dee K. Carter, President of Carter-Stearns Financial Group, received his BA and MA from Abilene Christian University. He received his CLU and ChFC designations from the American College. He has been a Registered Financial Consultant since 2007.

Dee started his career in 1971 in Arlington, Texas. He worked as a representative for two major insurance companies before establishing Carter-Stearns Financial Group in 2000. Carter-Stearns Financial Group’s primary market is retirees or those who are nearing retirement. He is an Income Specialist and has been a franchisee of The Retirement Income Source since its inception. He is a past President of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors – Texas, and received the Association’s highest honor, the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012. In 2021, Dee was recognized as the Advisor of the Year by Advisors’ Academy, with which he has been associated since 2012.

Dee is the author of the bestselling book, “It’s Now Or Never: How To Enjoy Your Life And Not Let Your Investments Own You”. He is active in his church, serving as a Sunday School teacher and worship leader. He and his wife, Susan, have four children and three grandchildren. Dee’s hobbies include reading, providing entertainment as a 50s and 60s rock-and-roll tribute artist, and conducting free educational seminars for retirees. Dee and his daughter, Mandee, are guests on KCRS 550's The Morning Drive with Spencer and Ashlee, Monday mornings at 7:40 a.m.

About Mandee

Mandee Carter Stearns, President of Carter Financial Group, has been working alongside her father, Dee Carter, running the day-to-day business and learning the ropes of their family business since 2017.

Mandee received her BS in Psychology in 2016 and started her career in the financial industry in 2010 when she started helping in the office. After acquiring her degree, she started working full-time in March 2017 as Dee’s business partner and main Associate Advisor helping clients navigate the intricacies of investing for retirement and overall successful financial planning.

In 2021 and 2023, she was named an Elite Producer with American Equity, amongst other accolades.

In Mandee’s spare time, she likes to go to the gym and spend time with her husband, friends, and family. She is an animal lover and rescuer. In fact, Mandee has 3 rescue dogs, a German shepherd and 2 mixed breeds that she adores! She still enjoys almost all things Psychology related and is constantly researching something. Mandee enjoys meeting new client prospects, speaking with her current clients, but most of all she loves helping people.
